Automation Studio
Free testing
You can download Automation Studio with its full range of functionality free of charge at any time. After entering a license key for the evaluation, free access is provided for 90 days. After that, you can extend the license for an additional 90 days as often as you wish. For commercial use, you can then simply purchase the corresponding license.
Education license
With the education license, students can use the full functionality of Automation Studio for 400 days to design and program their automation projects. This license is a site license for students at an educational institution. A different license is required for commercial use.
Licence for students
Create your academic project with our Automation Studio Student Licence. Simply log in with your student account, request a licence and you can create and program with the full range of Automation Studio functionality for 400 days. Commercial use requires a different licence. If you do not have an account, please contact our Education Network Team.

For commercial use, order the license key for your version of Automation Studio from your sales representative. The license is valid for one year and renews automatically for an additional 12 months. After ordering, you will receive the license key by mail. The license is activated by entering it in Automation Studio.

APROL R 4.4
Free testing
You can download APROL with its full range of functionality free of charge at any time. After entering a license key for the evaluation, free access is provided for 90 days. After that, you can extend the license for an additional 90 days as often as you wish. For commercial use, you can then simply purchase the corresponding license.
Free student license
Create your academic project free of charge with the new student license for APROL. Simply log in with your student account, request a license and spend 400 days creating and programming with the full scope of APROL functionality. A different license is required for commercial use.

Starting with APROL R3.4, software is activated by registering it using the license code (B&R serial number) purchased from B&R.
This process must be carried out for the following APROL systems:
- Engineering (E)
- Operator (O)
- Runtime (R)
- Gateway (G)
mapp Technology
mapp Technology's simplified three-tier licensing model streamlines field upgrades while keeping logistics simple. No licenses are required for simple applications. Ready-made software modules are available that can be used, for example, to implement alarm and recipe management as well as simple axis movements.
