This course provides an overview of machine vision. The basics, the vision functions, the configuration in Automation Studio and the HMI application are explained using an example.
The used example is a fill level application. A camera is placed just in front of bottles of a specific type that are moving along a conveyor belt. A photo is taken of each bottle and the goal is to check that they are filled correctly.
Since image acquisition is not covered in this course, sample images to use when working with the vision functions are provided.
