Today, IT systems engineers are not only in demand in IT service companies. In the age of digitalization, specialists with this job profile are indispensable for all organizations that work with individual IT applications. This profession not only offers promising future prospects, but also a particularly broad range of activities: Starting with the confident handling of common software and hardware solutions, systems engineers have in-depth knowledge in the areas of automation, virtualization and storage backup as well as cloud solutions and network management. IT security and data protection always have top priority. The English language is used intensively in programming and is therefore essential for this professional group in particular. This job profile requires not only technical but also social skills.

Operations logistics specialists are the experts for smart warehouse and process optimization. As a skilled mover of goods, you are responsible for the entire flow of goods for operational logistics – from ordering and receiving to professional storage and dispatch. Constantly realigning this process in terms of sustainable materials management and working with IT analyses and DATA warehousing offers future specialists a many opportunities for development and a great deal of creative freedom. The ability to coordinate, logical-analytical thinking and organizational talent are prerequisites for this exciting job. Supported by state-of-the-art IT tools and various simulation options (e.g. inventory via drones or RFID chips), operational logistics specialists find the optimal solution for all challenges and ensure an effective international supply chain.

The mechatronics technician apprenticeship is a modular apprenticeship. B&R provides training for the automation technology and production technology modules. The field of activity includes the installation, commissioning and testing of instrumentation equipment as well as open and closed loop control technology, bus systems, mechatronic machines and devices, pneumatic equipment and hydraulic components. You will also be responsible for the configuration, commissioning, testing and documentation of automation systems for mechatronic plants. Systematic troubleshooting and fault rectification as well as the maintenance and servicing of these systems are also part of your job. Optimizations, adaptations, modifications and extensions to mechatronic systems are carried out according to specifications. All work is carried out in compliance with the relevant safety regulations, norms and environmental and quality standards.

As an industrial clerk, you will be responsible for a wide range of office, administrative and organizational tasks that need to be done in an industrial company like B&R. You will work in the areas of purchasing, materials management, accounting, human resources and advertising. In purchasing, industrial clerks procure raw materials and supplies, compare offers and place orders. They monitor on-time delivery and check materials for quality and quantity. In the event of defects, they send a claim to the supplier. In sales, they process customer orders and inquiries, manage order books and customer files. They check stock levels and coordinate deliveries to ensure that the goods ordered are available in sufficient quantities.

Electronics are indispensable in computers, smartphones, household appliances, electric cars, wind turbines and machines. Electronics technicians design, build and test electronic devices and components, focusing on the controlling electrical current. You plan and develop components and circuits according to customer specifications and select suitable elements such as cables and sensors. You will test and optimize the components, create circuit board layouts and circuit diagrams and install the finished products in devices and machines. After completion, electronics technicians check the functionality of the devices, take measurements and put them into operation. Furthermore, electronics technicians maintain various devices and systems, carry out functional and performance tests and rectify faults.

A primary school certificate is required. There are different entry options depending on the school certificate. As a secondary school graduate, you take the short route and, depending on the apprenticeship, enter the second year of the apprenticeship directly, receive the salary of the second year of the apprenticeship and benefit from the shortened apprenticeship period. Furthermore, secondary school graduates have the opportunity to attend the Dual Academy. An apprenticeship at B&R can also be interesting for university graduates or those who have not fully completed university and offers a wide range of opportunities.

All committed apprentices who successfully complete their apprenticeship are taken on as employees by B&R. B&R's goal is to train and continuously develop the employees and managers of tomorrow within the company.

An interest in what your child experiences and learns is the basic prerequisite for good cooperation. It is important to us that young people internalize the value of polite and respectful interaction with one another. We are always open to discussions with parents and are always ready to listen to their concerns.

For apprentices arriving in their own vehicles, B&R offers free parking for cars, bicycles or motorcycles/mopeds. The bus route 880 (Braunau am Inn - Neukirchen - Eggelsberg - Lamprechtshausen - Oberndorf) is available for those arriving by public transport. The Salzburger Lokalbahn connects Salzburg with Lamprechtshausen every 30 minutes.

All apprenticeships are currently being trained at B&R's company headquarters in Eggelsberg in the Innviertel region.

Shortly after the interview, applicants receive feedback and, ideally, an offer of an apprenticeship at B&R. The apprenticeship contract is then signed with the parents.
